Carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), also known as tetrachloromethane, is a colorless toxic liquid that is volatile and can dissolve various substances such as fat and paint. It has a slightly sweet odor of chloroform. Carbon tetrachloride, as a toxic substance, poses significant hazards. High concentrations of its vapor can cause mild irritation to mucous membranes, chemical organ damage, direct skin contact, anesthesia to the central nervous system, and serious damage to the liver and kidneys. The use of carbon tetrachloride is strictly restricted by the country, only for non ozone depleting substance raw materials and special purposes, but it can also be used as an extractant, organic solvent, organic chlorinating agent, etc. The carbon tetrachloride desorption rate analyzer is used to detect the desorption rate of carbon tetrachloride in coal, effectively avoiding harm and facilitating the extraction of carbon tetrachloride from coal for research and production.
working principle:
Under the specified experimental conditions, the activated carbon saturated with adsorbed carbon tetrachloride is desorbed. After desorption measurement, the desorption ability of the tested activated carbon for carbon tetrachloride is expressed by the mass fraction of desorbed carbon tetrachloride and saturated adsorbed carbon tetrachloride.
